Not Me Monday

Yes it's time for another confession...This is started by a fellow blogger named Mckmama at http://www.mycharmingkids.net/ . It is titled Not Me Monday. This is where I get to confess all of my parenting sins that I have committed over the past week. Here I go...


I did not get my 4 wheel drive beast of a car stuck in my driveway today in yet another foot of snow. That would be crazy.

We are not having yet another record year of snow fall. That would never happen two years in a row. We most certaily have not had 60 inches of snow in the last month, that would never happen!

I am not in a really fowl mood due to the abundance of snow. That would be really childish of me and I am never childish!

Oh I have not for the last month decided that I am too tired to change diapers in the middle of the night and just let babies sleep in their very wet diapers until the sun rises. That would be lazy of me and I am never lazy!

I did not tell a perfect stranger that my twins could not possibly be identical because one had a penis and the other had a vagina. That would be blunt of me and I would never be blunt....why do so many people keep asking me if they are idetical after I tell them I have a girl and a boy?????

Last but not least...I most certainly did not eat all of Santas cookies before he arrived. That would be so rude. I am much better at sharing than that!

We have been working hard on re-styling our house this week. We have new paint and new livingroom furniture. Along with the new look we needed some new pics...Nate is becoming quite the photgrapher. Let me know what you think!

Not Me Monday

OK Molly I am joining in. Many have asked how I handle not one, but two newborns so here is your chance to catch a glimpse of my life...the honest glimpse.

This is started by a fellow blogger named Mckmama at http://www.mycharmingkids.net/ . It is titled Not Me Monday. This is where I get to confess all of my parenting sins that I have committed over the past week. Here I go...

I did not wake up last night to Olivia spitting up everything she just ate all over me and the bed, put a blanket over the puke, lay back down and go right back to sleep.... That would be really disgusting, I would never do that.

I did not pick up Jack not realizing he blew out his diaper and snuggle and coo to him while his poop ran down my shirt and jeans...Not me, I did not!

I certainly did not then just change my shirt and wipe the jeans off with a baby wipe...No, No way was that me I would change my jeans and wash them too!!!

I did not wake up in the middle of the night and eat 3 cookies knowing that they would only make it harder to get my clothes to fit the way I want...then complain the next day that nothing fits...Not me I would never I have much more self controll!

I did not refuse to walk Madalyn in to her classroom because I still had on my pj's not once this past week, but 4 times...Not me, not at all. I am the mom of the year and I would always walk my daughter to her class!

I do not wake up at least once a night and have absolutely no clue what baby I am holding and wonder if I fed this unknown baby or not...Not me, I am always aware of what child I am holding and how much they eat.

I do not love taking Madalyn to dance class purely because I know that there will be another mom there that is dying to hold a baby...I would never do that I go because I love watching Madalyn's dance class!

last but not least...I absolutley most certainly did not say a prayer to God thanking him for the invention of the baby swing....Nope, Not me that would be incredibly materialistic and silly!

HAPPY DAYS

We finally got our big smiles on camera. Olivia was holding out, but we will keep trying!

TIME TO CATCH UP

It's been a while so here I go...

We had our two month check up last Friday...this time I was sure to have four hands! Olivia weighs 8 lbs and Jack Weighs just over 9 1/2 lbs. They recieved their first round of shots too...I didnt cry this time!!! Both babies got a clean bill of health. We are still dealing with reflux so we have yet another new medication and it seems to be working.
The babes are still getting up every four to five hours to eat, but seem to go back to sleep easier. Jack likes to take a four hour nap every morning from 8 to 12 and Olivia will not go back to sleep until right when Jack wakes up...go figure! So, no napping for me at this point, but I seem to have adjusted to not sleeping. I haven't run over anything parked behind my car lately anyways...lol.

We are getting lots of smiles these days from both babies. Olivia loves to smile first thing in the morning and then gets very serious later in the day. She is still my quiet observer. Jack will smile on demand. He loves when I sing to him and he thinks that my baby talk voice is hilarious!

Everytime we leave the house we make quite the scene!!! I get more people that stop me in my tracks to look at my babies! It's as if no one has ever seen twins before. I struggle with this everytime some streanger reaches out to touch, but for the most part it is really entertaining! So many people are still asking if they are identical??? CAN A BOY AND A GIRL BE IDENTICAL????? Nate and I are always amused by this question.

Our Pumpkin Patch Adventure

We had a fabluous day in the sun today up at Greenbluff. Only one poo explosion!!! Olivia slept through the experience and Jack pooped through it. The kids had a blast picking pumpkins and riding horses!!! We all made it home in one piece, six pumpkins and 2 corn stalks later.

We made through our first doctors appointment without 4 hands...and we wont do it again! Nate had a previous appointment so he could not make it the doctors app. so, being the super mom that I think I am, I decided to go at it alone. HAHAHA. Well at least all of our news is good! Olivia is 6lb 15oz and Jack is 8lb 6oz. YIPPEE!!!! We are able to take them off the preemie formula too. I am hoping to get my milk supply up to par quickly...we will see.
